The noon start time for the Bucks proved to be too early, seeing as they struggled in an Eastern Conference daytime matchup with the Miami Heat. Though it was close throughout the first half, the Heat came out strong in the second half to put the Bucks away 97-79.

“We were playing from behind,” Bucks coach Jason Kidd said. “We’ve got some guys who can’t make shots right now. We’ve just got to keep grinding, keep getting those guys a look, and believe that they’re going to make the next shot.”

Shooting was extremely tough, as the Bucks shot 31% from the field and 14% from three, resulting in just 79 points, tied for their lowest score of the season. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 22 points and 6 rebounds and after the game put it simply: “we played bad basketball.”

The Bucks have another rare day game as they visit the Washington Wizards as part of the NBA’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day lineup. The game tips off at 1 pm CT.
