A Birthday Wish for J-Kidd
by
Amy Azzi
When the Dallas Mavericks take the court tonight, they can give their point guard Jason Kidd the only birthday gift he desires right now: a streak-snapping victory.
The Mavericks dropped their second straight game on Monday night, falling 115-99 at the hands of the New Orleans Hornets. Jason believes the team has looked a little too relaxed on the court lately, as he told DallasBasketball.com.
"The big thing, we’ve just been inconsistent, maybe a little bit too relaxed … It’s something we have to look at."
J-Kidd scored six points, dished out six assists and coralled four rebounds on Monday. The 6-foot-4 guard even blocked 6-foot-10 New orleans center Emeka Okafor in the third quarter, leading to a Dirk Nowitzki layup, But Jason's athleticism and grit didn't show up on the scoreboard.

No. 2 will celebrate his birthday at the American Airlines Center as the Mavericks play the Los Angeles Clippers but the birthday boy won’t get to do much relaxing as the Mavericks are heading into the second night of a back-to-back homestand looking to snap their streak.
The Mavs face the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at 7:30 p.m. CST on Fox Sports Network.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH
JASON:
WE MET WAY BACK WHEN YOU WERE MAKING THE NIKE COMMERCIALS YEARS AGO IN LONG BEACH WHEN THE NBA WAS ON STRIKE. I WAS THE SECURITY GUARD WHO WALKED YOU FROM YOUR TRAILER TO THE SET EVERYDAY. THANKS FOR THE AUTOGRAPH TENNIS SHOES YOU GAVE ME WAY BACK THEN. I KEEP THEM IN A CASE IN OUR LIVING ROOM. I JUST WANTED TO WISH YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY ( 37TH), (DON'T WORRY BECAUSE IT'S ONLY A NUMBER), BUT ANYWAY, I JUST WANTED TO WISH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THE BEST. TAKE CARE
