Jason had a team-high 11 assists as he steered the Mavs to another efficient offensive game in their 119-103 victory over the Washington Wizards.

J.Kidd led the Mavs on a run to end the 1st half that tied the game up against the Wizards who had run out to an early 10-point lead. The quick 6-0 run to end the half capped by Jason’s steal of the inbound pass and layup got the Mavs fired up.

In the 3rd quarter, No.2 had 4 assists in the first 2 minutes to give the Mavs a lead they never relinquished. Under the reigns of Jason, the Mavs dictated the pace of the game. The Mavs shot 52.7 percent from the field and forced the Wizards into 23 turnovers that they converted into 31 points.

Kidd had a very nice game. 11 assists and the biggest plus/minus ratio of any player including Dirk.. Kidd was a +21 tonight. Dirk was close at +19.

Who leads the NBA in fast-break points? Hmmm… It can’t be Kidd with 156. Only one close to him is Nash with 96. But I guess fast-breaks are yesterdays NBA.

I still think Kidd is the heart of this team now. Dirk is the best offensive player but if Kidd is playing well…they can compete in most games. Just get in the playoffs and see where it goes.
