There’s no better chance for Jason and Co. to get back into the win column than tonight, when they face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Mavs have beaten the Wolves 11 straight times, including both meetings this season, and J-Kidd has had a field day against them, averaging 11.5 points, 11.5 assists, and 8 boards.

As important as No. 2 is in terms of getting the Mavs back into the flow offensively, defensive pressure will be critical. The Wolves are 17-17 when they reach the century mark and only 4-36 when they fail to do so.

The Mavs start a crucial stretch Tuesday night against the Wolves at 7 pm CST.

This week, the Mavs will face Minnesota on Tuesday, Miami on Wednesday, Memphis on Friday, and then the Suns on Sunday. While only Miami and the Suns are above .500 on the season, it’s important that the Mavs win as many as possible before facing Phoenix, who trails only 3.5 games behind for the eighth playoff spot.
