On Sunday, Sept. 18, Jason Kidd and the Milwaukee Bucks will partner with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, and the American Cancer Society, to “Shoot Down Cancer.”

Coach Kidd and the Bucks invite fans of all ages to the BMO Harris Bradley Center to shoot hoops for a good cause, from 1-4 p.m. CT. In addition to shooting with J-Kidd, there will be family-friendly activities and giveaways—including a Shoot Down Cancer T-Shirt to the first 1,000 fans in attendance—all while raising money for an important cause.

“We’re thrilled to be teaming up with our new partners at Froedtert & MCW to support this critical cause,” Bucks President Peter Feigin. “The American Cancer Society does fantastic work in the fight against this terrible disease, but they can’t do it alone. We look forward to welcoming thousands of fans to the Bucks court to give their best shot in the battle against cancer.”

Jason’s wife Porschla, along with Feigin and Froedtert Health President and CEO Cathy Jacobson, are serving as Honorary Chairs for the “Shoot Down Cancer” event. The three will be contributing $1 for each fan in attendance, $5 for every made free throw and $25 for every made 3-pointer up to $20,000.

“Cancer is a worthy opponent, and victory over the disease will take teamwork,” said Dave Benson, executive vice president for the American Cancer Society. “We’re excited to join forces with the Milwaukee Bucks and Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin to shoot down cancer, one basket at a time.”

The Bucks and the American Cancer Society are seeking additional sponsors in addition to the contributions made by the chairs. To become a sponsor, or for more details about Shoot Down Cancer, contact Amy Rohrer from the American Cancer Society at amy.rohrer@cancer.org or 608-886-0143.

Fans interested in attending should enter the Bradley Center through the Kohl’s Gate at the corner of North Fifth Street and West Highland Avenue.
