A few thousand Milwaukee Bucks fans joined Jason Kidd and his wife Porschla in the fight against cancer Sunday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

In conjunction with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, the Kidd family, the Bucks organization and Bucks fans raised $40,000 for the American Cancer Society in the inaugural Shoot Down Cancer event.

“We’ve had a relationship with the American Cancer Society and Froedert for decades, and what we wanted to do was create something new and exciting and cool that really applauded participation,” said Bucks president Peter Feigin. “To get a few thousand people here is just awesome.”
