Despite not feeling 100 percent, J-Kidd got Dallas its first playoff win on the road in quite some time, leading the Mavericks to a 105-97 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Jason’s stat line was a bit below his contributions as of late — he finished with four points, eight rebounds, five assists, and a pair of steals — but as the Dallas Morning News reported Sunday, a stomach bug was at the heart of his performance.

When shootaround ended Saturday, Jason Kidd ran out to the locker room. He didn’t say anything other than he had to go to the restroom.

Turns out, it was the beginning of a nasty stomach bug that forced him to miss practice on Sunday.

And stop it already with those jokes that he wasn’t at Saturday night’s game, either.

Kidd’s sub-par performance in Game 1 might have been attributable to the stomach problems. According to a team official, Kidd threw up while on the bench.
